Cady Susswein is a communications campaign strategist and media expert with experience in international aid, media development, and government relations. She is a Vice President at Melwood Global, managing the firm’s implementation of media and public relations campaigns specifically in the sphere of governmental and non-governmental projects. 

Prior to joining Melwood, Cady worked at The Rendon Group, an international government communications consultant, and Spitfire Strategies, a company dedicated to social change communications. 

Cady is also a former Peace Corps volunteer in Senegal. During her tenure with Peace Corps, she developed radio programming reaching Senegalese local audiences of 200,000 as a liaison to RTS/Radio Tamba and supervised a USAID Water and Sanitation latrine project serving 660 people in a community of 1,600. She is proficient in French.  

A graduate of the University of Chicago, Cady holds a B.A. in Anthropology. While at university, she was also the editor and photo editor of the Chicago Weekly News, a local paper with distribution of 24,000. 

In her philanthropic work, Cady serves on the board of Arts on the Block, a Washington, DC-based nonprofit that provides artistic opportunities and business experience to at-risk youths.  

Cady lives in Washington, DC, where she can be seen navigating the traffic on her fuel-efficient, avocado-green scooter.
