Anamika Nelson is a qualified international development professional with 10 years of experience in government new business development and project management. As Director of Strategic Initiatives at Melwood Global, she manages government new business opportunities and projects. Prior to joining Melwood, Anamika worked for Internews Network, a media development non-profit where she managed government new business opportunities and USAID-funded projects focused on health journalism. During her tenure at Internews, she also managed the organization’s participation in consortiums pursuing USAID global democracy assistance funding mechanisms, including Indefinite Quantity Contracts (IQC) and Leader with Associates (LWA). She has an MA in International Development from American University, and spent part of her Master’s thesis research in Indonesia working for The Habibie Center and studying the country’s transition from authoritarianism. She also has a BA in International Relations, cum laude from California State University, Sacramento.
